Oh Milo....

Yesterday while we were watching the hockey game I put the animals outside because it was so nice out.
Apparently Milo did not agree.

Milo... Do you not feel pain???

Usually I "referee" most activities between Milo and Brook, but I was really curious how much he would put up with before he would run away or scratch her. Apparently quite a bit. If you will notice, at the end of the video he comes back and sticks his tail in her face again. I guess he is a sucker for punishment.

Our Dog Doing Wierd Things

Every day at Noon there is a siren that goes off in Boissevain. If Sam is outside she howls. If she is inside we get her worked up until she howls. Enjoy.

Milo Vs. Swiffer Vac

Milo has always been fascinated with floor cleaning devices. Brooms, mops, and the dollar store swiffer I use. This week I bought a Swiffer Sweeper Vac. For some reason he hates it, yet he follows me around the house while I use it waiting for a moment to attack it. His tail is all poofy and the hair on his back stands on end. I think he may have finally lost it. Brook thinks it is hillarious. This is the scene that played out in the kitchen this morning. Enjoy:)

Buddies

I can't believe the abuse Milo lives with. Why does he put up with this? He just keeps coming back for more. Brook loves getting a hold of his tail and he still keeps on coming back. I think sometimes he even teases her by flipping his tail in her face. He never retaliates. I have never seen him use his claws or bite her. He is a special kitty.

Milo The Hair Machine

Brook has a new best friend. Her and Milo seem to have hit it off, (sort of). As long as Brook doesn't get a firm hold of him they have a good time together. I have to "de-hair" her every time, but it's fun to see Brook smile and laugh at him. Finally Milo is getting his much deserved attention.

He is such a hair machine, especially in the spring. Yuck.

Yesterday a very nice older gentleman came to my front door carrying Milo. (covered in hair I might add) He explained that he had found Milo in his garden, and that the town of Boissevain has a bi-law about stray cats. He also informed me that he has cat traps in his yard for any cat that would mess with his wife's garden. Oops. No more free range Milo.

Cat Hair

So, I have been extremely frustrated with cat hair. Hair everywhere! Every time I pick up Brook I pick hair off of her. This week I was about ready to give Milo the Boot. I couldn't figure out why I was having so much trouble. Milo is not allowed on any of the furniture. He isn't allowed in our bedrooms. I keep the house clean. I sweep the floors every day. WHY IS THERE CAT HAIR EVERYWHERE?

Today I found out why. Under Brooks crib there is a large drawer where I store all her blankets and crib sheets. Mom had made a beautiful crib skirt that hides the drawer, making a perfect little "cat nest" under the crib. Milo figured out that he could get into the drawer from under the crib.

I went to go get another blanket because the one I had was full of hair (again). I pulled the drawer open with my foot and there was Milo, curled up on one of Mom's beautiful quilts. Likely shedding as he slept. My blood boiled!!!

I had been washing Brooks blankets and sheets, putting them in the drawer and the $@!# Cat was sleeping on them!!!! AHHH!!! Needless to say, Milo was severely disciplined. (yes, a Cat can learn quite quickly when he has done something wrong)
He may not come near me for a day or two, but maybe that is for the best anyway.
